Lisa Carter grew up on a small island in the Pacific Northwest, where she was surrounded by trees, ocean, fog, and sometimes sunshine. She was homeschooled for all pre-college years except her last year of high school; this allowed time for her to develop her love for literature and music. She loves writing, whether it’s fantasy stories or music composition. Often her stories inspire her music, so fantasy and music tend to go hand in hand for her.
Lisa is part of a classical wedding trio called Almost Classical, along with her twin sister and neighbor, which performs music for all types of events.
In 2019 Lisa graduated from Biola University with a B.M. in music composition after studying composition under composers Mike Watts, Jonathan David Neal, Dr. Robert Denham, songwriting under hit songwriter Adam Watts, and piano under Dr. Jiayi Shi and Rique Pantoja. Having been blessed with the friendship and instruction of these great musicians, she is continuing to write her own music; this includes concert music, cinematic music, and commercial music.
